Special G.A.L.S. (Growth, Acceptance, Love, & Strength)
Empowering females with autism and intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) to grow and shine.
About Special G.A.L.S.
Special G.A.L.S. (Growth, Acceptance, Love, & Strength) is a social and life-skills group
designed to empower girls and young women with disabilities to build confidence,
friendships, and everyday skills in a sensory-friendly, inclusive environment.
Created by Mona Nasser, certified life coach and proud mom of four, Special GALS
began as a heartfelt community project inspired by her daughter and has grown into a
movement that celebrates inclusion, connection, and self-expression.
Our Mission
To create safe, structured, and joyful spaces where young women with disabilities—and
their caregivers—can grow, learn, and thrive together.
We believe that when caregivers are supported, girls flourish. Each Special GALS activity is designed to encourage communication, cooperation, and creativity while respecting individual sensory needs.
What We Offer
Sensory-Friendly Meetups: Fun, low-pressure gatherings that include crafts, gentle movement, music, and calm time.
Caregiver Circles: Guided life-coaching discussions and practical support for those who care for Those living with autism and intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD).
Life-Skills Workshops: Activities that promote independence, communication, and
confidence.
Sibling & Family Nights: Special events for siblings and extended family to connect, share, and build understanding.
